Gujarati sheera

Who ever thought making sheera was really that simple and tasted as close to what mom makes.
So this has been a top rated weekend breakfast item on the menu this winter in my home.

Ingredients:
1 cup wheat laddu atta (or semolina)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup ghee
1/2 cup milk
Almonds
Cinnamon powder

Method:
1.Soak almonds in warm water for few hours. peel the almonds and chop.
2. In a pan heat the ghee, and add wheat laddu atta. Keep stirring until it starts to turn golden brown. (tips: cook this on a slow flame so it cooks evenly not causing it to burn.)
3. Add the sugar followed by the milk and keep stirring making sure it does not stick to the bottom of the pan and mixes evenly.
4. Once cooked, garnish with cinnamon powder and chopped almonds.

Serve hot to a great kick start morning.
