Tava Pulav


Tava pulav is the most quickest and tasty dish that possibly can’t go wrong.

Ingredients:
Rice
Onions or spring onions
Garlic
Ginger
Bell Pepper
Carrots
Green beans
Cauliflower
Green peas
Dry red chilli
Red chilli powder
Turmeric
Coriander powder
Bay leaves
Cloves
Cinnamon sticks
Garam masala powder
Cummin
Asafotedia
Lemon juice
Salt
Oil

1.      Soak basmati rice for about 2 hours.
2.      In a tava heat oil, add asafotedia and cumin followed by bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon stick and dry red chilli. (Make sure to consider the masala required by the rice as well)
3.      As the cumin gets brown add finely chopped onions and garlic.
4.      Cook the onions until it turns golder brown.
5.      Add all the veggies – green pepper, carrots, green beans, green peas, cauliflower.
6.      As the veggies begin to cook add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and lemon juice.
7.      On a low flame let this mixture cook thoroughly.
8.      In the mean time cook the rice in the rice cooker or on the stove.
9.      As the veggie mixture gets cooked slowly add the cooked rice and stir it well.
10.  The tava pulav is ready to serve with yoghurt, dal fry or any curry preferred.
