Badam (Almond) Halwa


 
Ingredients:
1 cup almond
2 cups milk (use high fat preferably)
2 tsp of ghee
8 tsp of sugar
Cardamom powder

Method:
  1. Soak 1 cup of almond in water overnight
  2. Drain the water and add hot water over the almonds and keep it for 5 minutes, remove the skin of the almonds.
  3. Crush the almonds in a blender, you ca either keep small pieces of almonds or crush it to a paste. This is a personal preference
  4. In a non stick pan add 2 tsp of ghee and add the crushed almonds.
  5. Once the almonds start turning a little brownish add the milk followed by sugar.
  6. Keep stirring this mixture at regular intervals, making sure it does not stick at the bottom.
  7. Add cardamom powder once the badam halwa is ready.
 Serve hot

 Note: Heat for few seconds in the microwave before serving.
